Sometimes I find that Singapore is a place of irony....

we have low unemployment rate and yet pple are not happy in their jobs...

we have the latest communication tools and yet pple hardly talk to each other, much less communicate (esp between couples... so many marriages fail due to lack of communication)

we have a strong economy that minimised problems of poverty and everyone have the luxury of earning a little bit more... yet it's always not enough... esp if we want to pursue our dreams / passion....

we have passion to do things that we really want to do, but challenges in reality like $$ are reining us in....

what kind of an unhappy state we are all in.... hahahaha Laughing

but if its the kids i cannot and do not want to get them into trouble because they are just being mischeivious.
But if the teenagers want to be funny and they have the minds to think. then i feel ok punishing them.

you ever see schools which pressure the students who score Cs to drop the subject even when the student shows interest in it?

because it'll pull down the school average...

principals are now just bean counters... nothing more..

it's a sad cynical world we live in when schools are more interested in showing that they have achieved "SQA Award" and whatever.. and the management is more interested in those things than the actual education of the children...

and hisk, please don't join the education industry? your asking about how to go about circumventing tests for various jobs already say a lot about your not being suitable for this noble profession... Neutral

Yep and my friend in J1 got retained together with 200 other students because they had to pass every subject to get promoted. Rolling Eyes

What is it you find interesting that you want to learn?
Working offers you that opportunity too and you get paid for it.

I mean if you wanna talk about "I wish I don't have to work and still survive", I believe most of us feel that way lor
But if you don't start somewhere you will just drift.

I have been part of school meetings when I was doing relief where teachers would discuss on how to improve work for express, normal acad

and when time to discuss normal tech, they snigger and laugh and say HENG AH, no need!

Embarassed i almost got into teaching too.... but cos of a miscomm somewhr somehow i din get the job...

i love to teach i just can't stand kids!! Laughing my friend who's a teacher sternly warned me NEVER say tat during the interview... i told him ONLY if they dun ask me

i flunked every subject except for GP in JC1 and still got promoted..

i never passed a single test...

in the end, i ended up with 4 A-levels Laughing

yeah been at the mercy of such policies, I could only take 7 subjects in A lvls. Appealled for 2 other sciences but couldn't get Crying or Very sad

I still don't get why you guys think its wrong to try learn how to excel in an interview process Confused

but the principals nowadays care more about sch image and their academic achievements etc. and waste 1 year of a person's life.

maybe if u don't like kids, can try out adult training too~ much less of the issues that need to be considered when working with children and teenagers!

hahahahhaha i only had 3 A-Levels.... cos I dropped Maths after flunking for an entire year... immediately after i dropped it, my econs grades shot up! haahahahaha Laughing
